Heavenly Father, in your mercy listen to our
prayers and welcome our dear father in to the
company of your saints in the
heavenly kingdom
of light and peace


The blow was great, the shock severe
We little thought his death so near
Only those that have lost can tell
The sorrow of parting without farewell

What would we give to clasp his hand,
His happy face to see,
To hear his voice, and see his smile
That meant so much to us.

We think of him in silence,
No eyes can see us weep;
But still within our aching hearts,
His memory we keep.

No farewell words were spoken,
No time to say goodbye,
You were gone before we knew it,
To the world we cannot comprehend
Until we meet again,
may God hold you dearly
in the palm of his hand.
